Undercover Narcotics Investigation Leads to Shooting at Wal-Mart

Posted By Posted By Parker & Braxton || 6-Jul-2012

In Bradenton, Florida, investigators are on the lookout for two men who allegedly fled the scene of an undercover narcotics investigation in a Wal-Mart parking lot. The drug traffickers noticed the police, and one criminal rammed his car into the officer and pinned him to another vehicle. In retaliation, police fired two gunshots at the suspect’s cars. A woman was arrested and taken into custody for her involvement in the drug trade, but two suspects fled the scene on foot.

The officer who was pinned between the vehicles suffered minor injuries and will recover. Some suspect that he fractured his hand in the injury. Though police fired gunshots, it is not suspected that any of the suspects were hurt. The police department dispatched helicopters to continue in their search for the suspects, but the store was not evacuated or canvased. The investigation is ongoing, and if caught, the traffickers may face years in prison for their crime.
